Account Executive

Location: New York, NY

Cognitiv is looking for a smart, energetic, creative and fun Account Executive to be a key contributor to the company’s quickly growing revenue stream, with a focus on the Toronto market and app developer advertising.  This is the rare opportunity to get in early and expand the reach of a tested, best in class new technology (Deep Learning) to advertising. Cognitiv’s product is unique in a cluttered ad tech space, providing sellers with significant demand across the agency and client landscape.

The successful candidate is a self-motivated “hunter” with an intelligent, consultative approach to the sales process.  It’s extremely important to us to find the right personality fit to help us build a fun, empowering and motivating culture.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Canvas the Canadian agency and client landscape aggressively to drive new business
  • Additionally, opportunity to drive sales in the mobile app download and retention space
  • Master pitching a constantly evolving and growing portfolio of products and markets
  • Grow new clients and campaigns to cultivate additional ongoing revenue
  • Evangelize and educate the marketplace about a hot new technology
  • Think creatively about the sales approach and help evolve our marketplace messaging
  • Collaborate with our partners in Ad Ops and Tech teams to execute best in class campaigns



  • 2+ years online Account Executive experience
  • RTB / Programmatic or Ad Network sales expertise
  • Data and/or performance sales expertise a plus
  • Strong existing relationships and contacts with top-tier agencies and advertisers in Toronto and Montreal
  • Experience in the mobile app market a plus
  • Passion for startup culture and driving an independent path forward
  • Strong ability to consistently be adaptive, creative and scrappy to get stuff done
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree required
